Delete your QSI account
You can delete your QSI account yourself at any time, on the website or in the QSI app. If you can’t log in or no longer have the app, email us and we will close it for you.
In short: in QSI, open Settings → Account → Manage → Delete account, then confirm. Can’t do that? Email privacy@quantumsi.in from your account’s email address with the subject “Delete my QSI account”.
QSI is run by Quantum Synthetic Intelligence Private Limited, Nagpur, India. This page covers your QSI account on the website at quantumsi.in and in the QSI app: it is the same account.
Delete your account yourself
The steps are the same on the website and in the QSI app.
- Open QSI at quantumsi.in or in the QSI app, and log in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings, at the bottom of the sidebar. On a phone, first open the sidebar with the button at the top left.
- Next to Account, press Manage. The Your account window opens. (Pressing your initial at the top right, or your name or email at the bottom of the sidebar, opens it too.)
- At the bottom of the window, next to Delete account, press Delete account.
- QSI asks: “Delete your QSI account? This removes your account and login sessions from our server and logs you out. Your registration data is kept for 180 days after you close your account. Chats saved in this browser are not affected.” Press OK to delete it, or Cancel to keep it.
- QSI then says: “Your account was deleted. You can keep using QSI without logging in.”
If QSI says “Your login has ended, so your account was not deleted. Log in again, then delete it.”, log in again and repeat the steps.
Before you delete: paid plans, packs and long documents
- A paid plan: deleting your QSI account also stops auto-renew, but it ends your plan straight away, and the rest of the paid period is not refunded. To use the time you have paid for, cancel auto-renew first (in QSI: Manage plan, then Stop auto-renew) and delete your account later. This doesn’t affect the 7-day refund on your first payment or refunds of failed, duplicate or wrong charges. See section 3 of our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Add-on packs: deleting your account ends your packs. If a pack has something left, QSI first shows Before you delete your account with what is left, and offers to refund the unused part (Refund the unused part of my packs). For a pack bought more than 180 days (about 6 months) ago, the unused part can’t go back to a card or UPI, so QSI asks you to email support@quantumsi.in (subject “Pack refund”) instead, and we refund it by bank transfer or UPI. You can also choose Delete my account without a refund, or Cancel. While your packs are paused because of a payment dispute, QSI shows what is left and asks you to email us about it instead. See section 10 of the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Long documents: if your plan includes them, your documents are deleted with your account. Download any you want to keep from the Long documents window first.
Can’t log in, or no longer have the app?
Email privacy@quantumsi.in from the email address of your QSI account, with the subject “Delete my QSI account”. That address is how we find your account and confirm the request is yours. We may ask for more information if we need to confirm who you are.
We close your account the same way as the Delete account button, so everything in the next section applies. We answer your request as section 8 of our Privacy Policy explains.
If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, email privacy@quantumsi.in and we will delete the account.
Never send us passwords, login codes, OTPs, your UPI PIN, full card numbers or ID numbers such as Aadhaar. We will never ask you for them.
What is deleted, and what we must keep
Deleted when you delete your account
- Your account record, its login sessions and any pending login code, straight away, and your row in our private member list. You are logged out.
- A paid plan: auto-renew stops first, and the plan ends.
- Your add-on packs end (what we keep about them is below).
- Your optional profile (the name QSI calls you, your preferred language and, if you gave it, your city).
- Your billing details for future invoices (name, mobile number and billing address). The copy on each invoice already issued is kept (below).
- Your long documents, and your account’s counts of them.
- The record that you turned Memory on or off. Deleting your account also makes Memory notes left in any browser unreadable.
- For Companions: your current consent, your answer to “Are you 18 or older?”, and any pause or block on Companions for your account. The record of your consent and any child-safety report are kept (below).
- Any help request (“Ask QSI to help me”): deleted at once.
Kept after you delete your account
- Registration data
Kept for 180 days after you close your account, then deleted in an automatic clean-up. It holds only your email address, when your account was created, how it was created (Google or an email code), your latest confirmation that you are 18 or older and agree to our Privacy Policy (with its version and time), and when you closed the account.
It is kept in a private file, can’t be used to log in or for any QSI feature, and is used only to answer a legal request. We can’t erase it sooner, but you can ask us what it holds. If you sign up again with the same email address, you get a new account.
- Payment and invoice records (paid plans and packs)
About 8 years (GST law: 72 months from the due date of the annual return for the year of the payment), even if you delete your account. This includes the billing details on each issued invoice and, for a pack, how much of it you used and when it ended. Our own copies of invoice emails are kept with our accounts for as long as GST law requires (about 8 years). A paid plan’s boost counter and its minutes and messages counter are kept with the payment records.
QSI’s record of each payment notification from Razorpay (IDs, statuses and times, and for a refund or chargeback its amount): about 30 days.
- Pack balances
One small file per account that has bought a pack. Each pack stays in it for about 13 months after it ends or is refunded, also when you delete your account, and the file is removed once no pack is left in it.
If we asked you for a bank account or UPI ID for a pack refund, it is deleted once the refund is paid, apart from the record of the transfer that our bank and our accounts keep with the payment records (about 8 years).
- Picture request records
- 180 days from each request, even if you delete your account, then deleted in later automatic clean-ups. Records linked to a complaint or a legal order may be kept longer: for 180 days from when we act on it, or as long as a court or authority requires. They never hold the picture itself, your photo, your IP address or your email address in readable form.
- Companions consent records
- Kept permanently, also after you delete your account, as proof of your consent. Each record holds only your account ID, the date and time, your choice, the version of the consent text (with a fingerprint of the text shown) and the version of our Privacy Policy (or, if saving your agreement failed, a note saying so).
- Child-safety reports (Companions)
- A request to a companion for sexual content involving children is kept even if the account is deleted: until a person at QSI has reviewed it; if it is reported to the authorities, as long as they or the law require; otherwise it is deleted after the review.
Records with their own time limits
- Reports you sent about a companion: kept on our server for 180 days, then deleted unless the law requires us to keep them.
- If you used Agent mode, its record of the web pages it asked for and the web searches it made: one year after the day of the request, then deleted. It identifies your account only by a one-way code.
- Coder mode and Agent mode usage counts, kept under a one-way code made from your account’s email address (so the counts don’t start again if an account is deleted and made again): about 2 days after the day they count (counts for a paid month: about 60 days).
- The cost record of each long document, which holds none of your text and isn’t linked to your account: about 13 months.
- Data already sent to QSI’s AI services to answer you: kept by them as section 6 of our Privacy Policy describes (for chats, up to 30 days, or longer only if the law or a safety review requires it).
Section 6 of our Privacy Policy lists everything QSI keeps and for how long. If the law requires us to keep certain data for longer, we will keep only what is required, for only as long as it is required.
Your chat history stays in your browser
Your chat history is saved only in your browser, on your own device. Our server doesn’t store your chats (apart from a few exceptions, such as picture requests and a careful answer that your browser has not collected yet; see section 5 of our Privacy Policy), so we can’t find or delete them for you, and deleting your account doesn’t delete them.
To delete all your chats:
- Open Settings.
- Next to Chat history, press Clear all.
- QSI asks “Delete all chats saved in this browser?”. Press OK.
This also removes the pictures and Agent mode tasks saved in that browser. It works with or without an account, so you can do it before or after you delete your account. Do it in each browser and on each device where you used QSI, including the QSI app. Clearing your browser data also removes your chats.
To delete just one chat, press the × next to it in the sidebar (on a computer, it appears when you point at the chat).
Memory notes are also kept only in your browser. Deleting your account makes notes left in any browser unreadable.
